VLOG: What's Up, November? (Plot Bunnies Are Running Wild + NaNoWriMo Is Here + It's My 8th Blogiversary!)

IT'S NOVEMBER AND I'M SCREAMING. This month has definitely been a long-anticipated one for me, and I'M SUPER PUMPED. October was filled with preparations and panic, but everything paid off in the end and NOW NOVEMBER IS HERE. No regrets! Let's get right to it.

WHAT'S NEW THIS MONTH?

Of course, NaNoWriMoIT'S FINALLY ACTUALLY HERE AND I'M FREAKING OUT. But the freaking out bit is nothing new...I've been freaking out for the past six months. But I didn't start actually getting serious about preparation until like two weeks ahead of time?? HAHAHA. I'm still not 100% sure of my outline, but...I'VE GOT 17,000 WORDS OF PLOT so I think I know where I'm going. I'M SUPER SUPER EXCITED FOR THIS BOOK. It's got to be my favorite book idea I've EVER HAD which is saying a lot for me... ALSO: I'm not going to shout about my novel until the end of the month when all is said and done! More on that in the vlog. ;) SIDE NOTE: I never sign up officially to the NaNoWriMo website because I'm a cryptic little ghost, BUT I WOULD LOVE TO HEAR ALL ABOUT YOUR NOVEL IN THE COMMENTS BELOW!

Kate is hosting an epic giveawayShe's giving away lovely signed paperbacks of her book, The Blood Race, and there's all kinds of other epic goodies to win, too (like super awesome fantasy quill pens and notebooks and bookmarks! EEEP.) CLICK HERE AND ENTER THE GIVEAWAY.

My sweet friend Ella Marie just launched her new blog, February Fairy. Ella Marie is a teen lifestyle blogger with a passion for inspiring other girls. She is a Christian, ENFP, aspiring actress, night owl. < SHE IS ALSO SUPER INSPIRING and her sunshiney positivity always puts a smile on my face! Go check out her blog and show her some love!

I sincerely apologize for not doing the ukulele cover yet. At the beginning of October I promised you guys a ukulele cover... BUT THEN LIFE GOT CRAZY and I ran out of time! And this made me soooo sad. But I'm still going to do it! Let's tentatively say... December. THANK YOU FOR YOUR PATIENCE. I love you guys.

Oh and it's also my 8TH BLOGIVERSARY. HOW DID THAT HAPPEN?? I almost can't believe I've been blogging for eight years, now. Granted, my blog was lying dormant for quite some time. I was never consistent about posting until like...three years ago? But blogging has been a part of my life since I was 13 years old, and LET'S JUST SAY I CAN'T IMAGINE LIFE WITHOUT IT. I didn't do anything special for my blogiversary this time, but MAYBE NEXT YEAR. Or maybe on my 10th blogiversary I'll do something SUPER SPECIAL like take you all out for waffles or something. < That would be THE DREAM, right there. :'''')

I made a list of all my plot bunnies and book ideas... guess how many I have? YOU'LL FIND OUT IN THE VLOG. MUAHAHAHA. (Hint: I get a new plot bunny like every week??? IT'S KIND OF A PROBLEM. I'M KIND OF GOING CRAZY. Help.)

  1. AHH YAY! I love your vlogs so much Abbiee. <33 I'm doing the same thing, LOL, and sharing my plot bunny at the end of the month bc honestly I know nothing worth sharing about it before the month. XD Although I suck at aesthetic pinterest boards and for some reason I can't write with music (???) so no playlists for me. :P
Can't wait to hear more about your plot bunny!

    1. EEEP THANK YOU CHARIS RAE <333 you're the best :') PLOT BUNNIES ARE THE BESSSST. But wow yes they take time to develop into full-fledged books. It's really a hit or miss with playlists for me too! I definitely CAN'T write while listening to music with words, but sometimes instrumentals?? it depends. But yes the playlist for this book I'm writing is more of something I listen to whenever I'm not writing. xD GAH THANK YOU FOR WATCHING!

That's incredible! *showers you in waffles* I'm excited to see what novel you're writing for NaNo. AND THE PLAYLIST <3 YAAAAAS

I'm participating in NaNo this year, although I'm not sure if I want to win or not. I won last year and it was amazing (!!), but this year, I don't want to push myself too hard.
I was going to put up a NaNo post on my book but I got distracted with the literal NaNo writing, but I like your idea about putting it at the end. Do you mind if I steal? XD
GOOD LUCK IN ALL OF YOUR WRITING

I'm at 20,000 words, and started to feel that drag. XD I know that I still have a ton to write, but I think the excitement is fading. IT's TOO SOON. XD

Chocolate and Coffee would be a great care package that someone sent to all the NaNo-ers.

P.S. Your hair looks amazing, and you are a wonderful human. Okay bye.

  6. You made me feel guilty for stopping in the middle of a scene to come watch this vlog xD BUT LET ME LEAVE A COMMENT BEFORE I GO BACK TO WRITING.

NANO IS GOING EPIC. I started off slow on the 1st because I've had a terrible cold (I took five naps instead of writing five thousand words #oops). Hopefully I'll be able to make it to the end of the first act of my novel this afternoon. I was only able to plot this novel for two days, but it's going surprisingly well.

I CAN'T WAIT FOR THAT POST. I'm dyyyying to hear about your novel. I hope nano is going great for you!

(btw, your hair is GORGEOUS <333)

    1. AAAAH I'M SORRY LOLOLOL but wow I can definitely relate. ;) I'M SO GLAD TO HEAR THAT NANO IS GOING EPIC FOR YOU!! *high fives* and ugh it totally sucks to be sick while writing a book...I feel like all my creativity is drained out of me when that happens. :''''') But I hope you're feeling better now! AND I TOTALLY RELATE TO THE LAST-MINUTE PLANNING. Although I got the initial idea for my novel in the spring, I didn't start actually outlining until like three weeks before??? *NERVOUS LAUGHTER* I LIKE TO PLAN BUT I ALSO PROCRASTINATE SO MUCH xD it's a problem.

SDFGHJKSALD THANK YOU SO MUCH AUDREY YOU'RE THE BESTEST <333 *all the waffles and tea*

  10. *is guilty of spending more time on your blog than on my NaNo novel* Hehehehe. I've literally just found more ways to procrastinate over the course of five days. #sendhelp

LEGIT SO EXCITED TO HEAR ABOUT YOUR BOOK. PROBABLY MORE EXCITED OVER THAT THAN MY BOOK. o-o GOOD LUCK FRIEND! YOU GOT THIS! <3

I like to think of myself as a planner but I'm pretty sure I'm both. If that is possible? I admire how organized you are. Like, please teach me your ways. My brain and desk is mushed.
