Unscheduled

{photos feat. the beautiful morning sunlight yesterday. like, whoa. God is an artist ok}

And all I want is to be
Unscheduled.

First I wanted to know what I could do
But now I want to know what I should do.

Because there are so many things
So many, many things
And I want to do them all
So my brain gets carried away sometimes
A package in transit, going to the wrong address.

No no no no no
Somebody stop it
Somebody bring it back to me.

Today I want to do just the things that I can handle
Nothing more
Nothing less.

------------

A little intention for Tuesday, because I need it. This post was unscheduled, but I also want my life to be unscheduled. So yeah. THOUGHTS. ;) What’s on your brain this Tuesday???

love,
abbiee

My brain is soft and sleepy this Tuesday morning. I only have two scheduled things for today, but the rest is a blank canvas waiting to be painted.

(p.s. tuesdays are my favorite so you picked a good day xx)

  7. Urgh, I'm always wishing I could be more scheduled...then realizing that's just not how my brain works. This Tuesday we're actually having good weather for probably the second or third time in this whole month, so I'm trying to think of something to do outside...

    1. Exactly! As artists I think we have a hard time sticking to schedules without getting burnt out. :/ at least I have that problem, anyway. UGH it's drizzly and wet here today, but I hope you get to go outside and enjoy the nice weather where you are!! :)

  12. I feel you exactly - I want to be spontaneous, but like. //Controlled// spontaneous, you know? So that my spontaneity doesn't lead to an overwhelming mess to fix later.

Okay, I don't think that you understand HOW STINKING MUCH I identify with this. The past two weeks of summer have tried me, because I wanted to do IT ALL. But I can't.

That's where I faced the joy of only doing what I can. That means that some things won't get done, but you know what...

IT IS ALREADY FINISHED!!!! (John 19:30)

Thank you for this beautiful reminder. And speaking of beautiful, OUR GOD KNOW HOW TO CREATE THINGS!!! I had to stop and praise God after seeing the first picture. I just sat there and let it sink in that God created that beauty. He is so worthy!

  15. Wow, this is interesting and actually really good for me to read and be reminded of! I'm the type of person who plans everything-I don't do enough spontenaeous things! This post is kinda really encouraging, because it helps me let go of that somewhat-and-sometimes-silly notion of mine! Haha :D Btw, I just LOVE your blog! Ugh, its absolutely amazing! :)

But AHHHHHH I love this so much!!! It's honestly the most accurate thing in the world. Literally every night before I've gone to sleep lately I just lie there thinking of everything that I need to do. Pretty sure I need to learn to be a bit more unscheduled. <3

    3. I think I may need to take more time to be unscheduled, because I kind of revolve around to-do lists at the moment. (And look, I can't even write a comment without it being a list. :P)

  18. 1. I am NOT copying Jessica, I already had a whole list comment typed out in my head when I saw that she had one too, but I'd basically written the whole comment by then and I couldn't just CHANGE SUDDENLY so you're getting two list comments, whoop. Clearly Jessica and I need to be friends.

    2. I forgot my whole list typing out that first item, help

    3. Okay, back on track! THOSE PICTURES ARE GORGEOUS.

    4. This whole "brain in transit send help asap" thing is me to a T. Whew.

  19. I love this! I am always torn between the routine of the school year and the freedom that summer brings. Sometimes I can't tell whether I like the structure because I tend to get more things done, or if I like the spontaneous things I can do during the summer. During the summer, a lot of my friends leave as well or work the entire summer, so sometimes the school year means I see them more, which is kinda ironic in my mind.
Love this post though, it really got me thinking!
