West Coast Diaries - Part Sixteen: 99 Miles to Winnemucca

October 1. I suppose I never finished documenting the trip out west. Funny that. I told myself for the longest time that yes, I would, I most certainly would. Today? No, tomorrow. No, the next day. And what do you know? It’s October and it never got done. The thing is, I don’t really remember most of what happened in those last few days of visiting family. All is a blur of late nights, bug bites, photos and cat hair and sushi (not cat hair in the sushi, thank God) and goodbyes. I hate goodbyes. The drive home was something else. Winnemucca was a really interesting place. Talk about being in the middle of literally nowhere. On the way back, we visited the airfield where my grandfather served. Mostly drives home are quiet and slow and gray.

But it’s good to be home.

But yeah, I bet that was really good. I just gag every time I get the slightest scent of fish when I go to put sushi in my mouth. NOPE, SORRY, CAN'T DO IT. GUESS THAT LOWERS MY COOL FACTOR. OH WHALE. *insert whale emoji here*

I really want to meet you in person because I feel like we'd be best friends/art buddies, and it'd be the best.

kind words are like raindrops on the desert. they make me bloom with happiness, as absolutely cliche and cheesy as that sounds. even if it's just a simple alt+3 i will heart you for it. so, go ahead! MAKE MY DAY. literally.
