november playlist: keep fighting

Keep fighting – it’s something I tell myself a lot. Something that, after a while, I don’t even need to tell myself. It’s like a sixth sense. This world is worth fighting for. We’re not trying to get to the other side of the battlefield to get to a better place – we are already in that better place, right here and right now. But we have to fight to make everyone see that.

Out of this whole playlist, I’d have to say that my favorite is Ceasefire by For King & Country. They nail it all right on the head far more eloquently than I can at the moment. If you listen to no others on this playlist, listen to that one. Because it just blew my mind and left me nearly weeping. So yeah. Remember that you’re not the only one standing up in the smoke to look this fear in the face and battle-cry, “On earth as it is in heaven. On earth as it is in heaven!” I’m right here next to you.

What songs remind YOU of this kinda thing? Which one is your favorite off this playlist?

love,
abbiee

  4. Man, the idea of this playlist reminds me of when Jesus says, "O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, the city that kills the prophets and stones those who are sent to it! How often would I have gathered your children as a hen gathers her brood under her wings, and you were not willing!" (Matthew 23:37) I don't know why, but it did. So thus I was reminded of this song: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4RZP002wQ3c

All I can say is, Come, Lord Jesus! (See Revelation 21:5, Habakkuk 1:5, Isaiah 65:17-25 and basically the whole Bible haha XD) And amen, let's fight now, for even now He is within us. We fight with the full knowledge that what we fight for is worth it! To live is Christ and to die is gain. (Philippians 1:21)

    1. Ooh, I love that first verse you mentioned. So heartbreaking, remembering how all God ever wanted was for us to embrace him and know him to be someone who loves us so. freaking. much. I shall have to check out that song. :) Thanks for reading, Hannah Joy!! ♥

  5. Wow, thanks for the encouragement. I've been feeling like I can't wait to get out of this world, what with all the tragedy happening in the news lately. It can be hard living on Earth. Sometimes I feel like I want to go to another planet that is all my own haha But you're right -- on earth, as it is in heaven. Beautiful thought!

p.s. "Awakening", forever and always. Hands down one of my favorite Switchfoot songs ever. Have you seen the music video? It's epic!

    1. Oooh, I'll have to check out that music video. I may have seen it, but I can't remember. Anything Switchfoot, gaahhh. ♥ And yes, so true -- with all the suffering in the world, it's easy to lose hope. But we want to be like Jesus, who never loses hope -- not with us, not with humanity, not with the world. 'Tis awesome. ;) Thank you for reading, Erin Marie!! ♥

kind words are like raindrops on the desert. they make me bloom with happiness, as absolutely cliche and cheesy as that sounds. even if it's just a simple alt+3 i will heart you for it. so, go ahead! MAKE MY DAY. literally.
