IT IS DONE.

I. FINISHED. MY. BOOK. *confetti* Yes, this is definitely something to celebrate quite like a five-year-old. Chocolate cake was in order and was materialized (almost as magically as how Jadis materializes Turkish Delight and was devoured with the same fervor as aforementioned Turkish Delight.) This is exciting for me, people. Seriously, I can't believe I did this!!

So, yes. Finishing this book is kind of a big deal for me because even though I've finished (much shorter) novels in the past, I was never truly happy with them and still have no intention to publish them (ever.) But this book is different. I am going to publish this brain-child someday, though miles of thistles and thorns and insane amounts of late night ice cream eating editing may stand in my way.  160,000 words was my final unedited count, but I hope to trim that number down a bit as I read through and force kindly ask my family to beta read and edit. But all the work makes up for the unspeakable joy. I hope this book gives my readers a heart punch they didn't see coming and shakes up the way they look at everything. (Oooh, now you're intrigued. NOW YOU'LL BUY IT WON'T YOU. MUAAHAHAHA.) *sends virtual cake to every one of you*

love,
abbiee

P.s. What do you guys think of the new theme?? Thank you to Addy for recommending Eve of Mango Blog Shop! She designed this beautiful theme and her Etsy shop has some lovely eye candy demo sites. Eeep! I'm super pleased with how this one came out. ♥

  2. So super exciting, Abbie! I have never ever been able to finish any of my novels yet. I usually get bored and/or frustrated with them before I get to the half way point. I'm always in awe of authors who can see their stories through to the bitter end. I will most definitely snatch up your beautiful book whenever it hits the shelves. :)
Also I'm in love with your new look. There is nothing better than getting a new blog template.

    1. Oh I definitely know how it feels to get bored and/or frustrated with a book. It is tough to see a novel through to the end, but it's so rewarding. Thank you so much, Hannah! You're so sweet. ♥ And yay, I'm so glad you like the new design!! :)

  3. YAYAYAYAY! ^^ *does huge happy dance* *dumps confetti everywhere* *partakes in cake* That sounds so unbelievable; I can't imagine writing 160,000 words of comprehensible story. Normally I can't get through writing one sentence :P This is super amazing and I'm totally praying for you to be able to publish that book someday! I'd definitely pay for it, because you worked so so hard. (And I'd force my friends to buy it too)

(P.S. wow the new design looks great! ^^)

Thank you for your prayers, dear! Your words are so encouraging to me. :) And yay, I'm so glad you like the new design!!

  10. This is glorious. Congrats on finishing your book! I am writing a novel too, and still very much in the throes of a love/hate/super love/super hate relationship with it. But serious kudos. It takes such perseverance, and so much time. SO MUCH TIME. Congrats again!
