west coast diaries - part five: west point to gun point

May 17. This morning me and Dad walked down to the West Point of the beach and walked up to Gun Point, almost to the bridge. (Actually, I should say that we hiked, because we mostly had to climb up on the face of the slippery rocks like little mountain goats.) Dad made more cairns in the very oddest of places. Meanwhile, Mom and Katie were walking the dogs along the wooded trail and Mom called us to tell us that she and Katie saw a bald eagle nesting in a tree. Me and Dad walked down there and saw it. I took some pictures, but waa -- no super awesome zoom lens, so the pictures were very far away. Next time we go on a crazy trip like this, I'm buying me a giant zoom lens. So ha.

kind words are like raindrops on the desert. they make me bloom with happiness, as absolutely cliche and cheesy as that sounds. even if it's just a simple alt+3 i will heart you for it. so, go ahead! MAKE MY DAY. literally.
